At Minster Home Care we are one big family – the company was founded by a brother and sister team who have a passion and experience in operating a community-based organisation. All of our team are employed directly and we do not use agency staff. This ensures our carers remain motivated and deliver a dedicated service that reflects our company values, high standards and our promise as an company. Minster Home Care is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we vet our staff accordingly through DBS checks, and ensure each one of them is trained, and nurtured into becoming the best carer possible.
The technology we utilise helps to ensure the safety of those we care, while making sure that families are engaged with one another and can monitor the care of their loved ones. As a team of dedicated local carers, we don’t use technology for the sake of it – every system we use is designed to increase connectivity between families and their loved ones, and more importantly to keep those we care for safe.
Our team use technology to enhance the hands-on care we pride ourselves on, and use it to give us practical insights into the care we provide. These improve the care we offer across the board, from nutritional information to personal safety and mobility. This data is kept confidentially and with your families consent, we use the information to create better, more bespoke, care plans.
Keeping your loved ones safe is our number one priority, which is why our technology is geared towards keeping them safe at home. Although we try to be as present as possible in the lives of those we care for, there will of course be occasions when our carers and family members will not be around our loved ones. Unfortunately, falls are a common occurrence amongst those we provide care for. However, we are able to install subtle sensors in the homes of your loved ones that can pick up if they have injured themselves within their home.
Minster Home Care is a fully regulated service that involves extensive training, strict checks and a rigorous interview process – all of which are in place to make sure we have a team of professional, adaptable and compassionate carers.

Minster Home Care is a family-run care organisation centred around community engagement, with our home care services delivered by our team of specialised local carers.
We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which means that we can offer different services from some other agencies who are not regulated. This includes managing your carer’s pay, holidays and facilitate on-going checks and reviews of your support plan.
We believe that home is where the heart is. Home care has been proven to be the best option for health and wellbeing and is usually more cost-effective too, compared with care homes. We believe in the importance of staying in your own home and we can provide tailored care plans to suit you, whilst you continue to enjoy all the memories you have made there.

We offer a range of care services related to home care. This includes personal care, daily care, overnight care/sleep ins, companionship, household management and recovery care. We also offer other services including family respite care, dementia care and palliative care.
Our personal care service covers a wide range of duties, focusing primarily on personal hygiene and assisting with continence needs, as well as daily tasks such as bathing, hair care and dressing.
There are a number of options when it comes to Personal Care, whether that is choosing to have a visiting carer – someone who visits at a set time – or even a live-in carer, who can provide you with 24-hour care and support.
To establish a personalised care plan, we will undertake a Care Needs Assessment. This is carried out by Jayne, our Registered Manager or a senior member of our team in the comfort of your own home, free of charge. The Assessment is a simple way of working out your individual care and support needs so that we can decide the best way to support you.
Our rigorous recruitment process is values and skills based, ensuring we only employ the best applicants who match our strict criteria. For each member of our team we carry out a DBS check, collect personal identification, acquire a minimum of two references and a right to work document. If we fail to receive any documentation, they are not offered a permanent position within the company.
For your reassurance, on the first care visit, you will be introduced to your caregiver face-to-face by our registered manager or senior member of the team.
Before a new employee starts their career with Minster Home Care we carry out a 4 day induction programme which covers the latest up to date and relevant training. This includes meeting fellow colleagues, manual handling training, first aid and online electronic online learning. Once a new member is through this process, they repeat their training on an annual basis. We also encourage continuous personal development through further training and specific electronic online learning relevant to our clients needs.
At Minster Home Care, nothing is more important to us than making sure you remain as independent as possible in your own home. To do this your carergiver will require a minimum amount of time to provide you with bespoke one to one care. Whether you require daily or weekly supportive care, or a friendly face for when you are out and about, our minimum care time is 40 minutes per visit, with a minimum total of 3 hours per week. We feel this provides adequate time for our caregivers to deliver specialised care and gives you the attention you deserve.
We only employ caregivers who show genuine, trustworthy and reliable qualities during the interview stages. We take our time to employ kind, compassionate people who have a real passion for providing care and building genuine relationships with their clients. Whatever your interests, needs and preferences, we will find the right caregiver for you.
Yes, we offer a dementia care service that offers high-quality support and care in the comfort of the client’s own home. We take a relationship-focused approach, allowing the client to get to know the carer, creating a personalised care plan that is specific to the needs of the individual.
Family respite care is a service that allows caregivers to have a break from the physical and emotional strain that often comes when caring for loved ones. If the caregiver has a conflicting commitment or simply needs a break to recharge, we can support the carers to have their much-needed break.
At Minster Home Care, our pricing structures are aimed to be flexible and hassle-free. We offer care packages that start from just £22 and we don’t believe in hidden fees. We provide you with an all-in-one price, so you know exactly what you will be paying for. Often, home care is a more affordable option than living in a care home, particularly if you need long-term care.
There are many different funding options available to you to ensure that home care is a viable and affordable option. Your options include funding your care privately, through a personal budget, local authority or by referral. We can discuss these options with you so please get in touch with us for more information.
